WISCONSIN STATE FIRE CHIEFS ASSOCIATION

TOGETHER WE
MAKE A DIFFERENCE

WSFCA Members,

As always, I’m honored and sincerely humbled to have the opportunity to address the membership of our Wisconsin State Fire Chiefs Association as your President. As you may be aware, the WSFCA has faced several significant challenges both related and unrelated to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Like you, your WSFCA Board has been working tirelessly to navigate these challenges and create outcomes which best serve the interests of our membership as well as those we serve.

One of the challenges I alluded to involves the WSFCA management. While the relationship with MESA yielded some positive results for the WSFCA, it was determined that it was in the best interests of both parties to part ways. With that, the WSFCA Board voted to go back to last year’s RFP process and re-interview Wisconsin Association Management, LLC (WAM). I am pleased to announce that this process went extremely well, and we were able to get an agreement in place which was unanimously approved by the WSFCA Board last week.

Wisconsin Association Management, LLC (WAM) was founded in May of 2003 by Christopher Ruditys, the Former Executive Vice President for the Commercial Association of Realtors. With strong financial backing from a diverse client portfolio, the company made its headquarters in the Historic Third Ward District in Downtown Milwaukee.

In January 2005, Christopher Ruditys purchased Robbins and Lloyd Career Training Institute. The Institute is a highly respected career training school for professionals and has provided real estate education in Wisconsin since its establishment in 1968. With this acquisition, WAM became the only association management company in Wisconsin to provide its own in-house educational facility for its association clients. The facility offers seating for 200 students and ample free parking.

I believe WAM will develop an excellent rapport with the Association’s members, Executive Board and key stakeholders, and will be available at all times to provide professional guidance and support.

Other notable areas of expertise that WAM will bring to the table are, but are not limited to:

  • Years of experience and knowledgeable staff will ensure a quick, smart response to all Association actions and activities.

  • Emphasis on ensuring a high level of service and value to the Association Board through coordination, communication and successful implementation of goals and services.

  • Proven track record of raising sponsorship and advertising dollars for events, conventions, golf outings, newsletters, etc.

  • Building strong relationships with committee members and the Association Board to nurture and develop future leaders of the Association.

  • Superior, well-designed publications (brochures, newsletters, directories) and a website that enhances the perception of professionalism.

  • High tech educational facility that is available for events and meetings (on-site catering available).

  • The WAM team will work diligently to facilitate the achievement of Association goals which raise the level of success, recognition, and professionalism within the community.

Currently WAM manages twenty-three professional trade associations and organizations in addition to the Robbins & Lloyd Career Training Institute. We are looking forward to a long stable association management relationship moving forward!

Finally, due to the aforementioned Association Management change and the accompanying website changeover, as well as the impact of not holding our annual conference due to COVID-19, we will be unable to conduct the WSFCA Executive Board election in June. As a result, the WSFCA Executive Board voted unanimously to hold the elections in July. All the WSFCA Officers have agreed to stay in place for the additional month to help facilitate a smooth transition. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Respectfully,

Chief Timothy Bantes

WSFCA President
