Fire Chaplaincy: Ministry on The Fringes

This is a course for both those just starting out in fire chaplaincy as well as experienced chaplains. Topics include: Fire Service History and Culture, Foundations for Fire Chaplaincy, Ethics, CISM, Resiliency, Suicide Awareness, Compassion Fatigue, Personal Assessment and Awareness.

To welcome you to the Wisconsin Dells, the Delton Fire Department will be your host for the evening. The reception will feature hors d'oeuvres and beverages. All attendees, vendors and their families are invited to attend. Shuttle Buses will be available to and from the Kalahari Resort.

This course is a facilitated discussion that will look at the benefits and potential pitfalls of having a fire chaplain in your department. It is designed for both chiefs and chaplains and will provide a realistic and healthy perspective of integrating chaplains into fire departments. There will be ample time for questions and answers regarding chaplaincy in a fire department.
