Members and Guests of the Wisconsin State Fire Chiefs Association
2015 Convention
Milwaukee, Wisconsin

On behalf of the Milwaukee Fire Department, I welcome you to Milwaukee, a city that is filled with rich tradition and history for you to explore. It is again an honor to have the leaders of the Wisconsin fire service in our city. The Milwaukee Fire Department and the fire departments of Milwaukee County are excited to have you in Milwaukee as we host the 2015 WI State Fire Chiefs Conference. As your hosts we just ask you to enjoy yourself. I invite you to come and visit the firehouses and our members as we celebrate our 140th year as an organized fire department. Many of our firehouses are preserved historical buildings, giving the visitor a glance at "Old" Milwaukee. For those that enjoy fire history, we have a wonderful museum run by the Fire Historical Society on the south side of the city.

Milwaukee has something to offer everyone, all you have to do is look around and see a city alive with activities just waiting for you. Milwaukee feels like "small town" living, enjoying friends and family at neighborhood barbeques, with a "big town" feel, given the expansive cultural diversity in everything from religion, restaurants, and events, to the multitude of fine arts offered everywhere from downtown, to the historic east side near Lake Michigan, to our local schools.

I encourage you to take some time during your stay, and even consider extending your stay, to enjoy all that Milwaukee has to offer. Visit some of our many museums or theatres, the Milwaukee County Zoo, the 113-year-old Basilica of St. Josaphat, take in a ball game at Miller Park, or spend some time at one of the many festivals along the lakefront. From casual to elegant, we also have plenty of unique places for you grab a drink or a bite to eat.

On behalf of the Milwaukee Fire Department and the Milwaukee County Chiefs Association, WELCOME TO MILWAUKEE!

Sincerely,
MARK ROHLFING
Chief
