Strategy and Tactics for Initial Company Operations

Objective:
The Strategy and Tactics for Initial Company Operations curriculum is designed to meet the needs of Company Officers responsible for managing operations of one or more companies during structural firefighting operation. The curriculum consists of three separate and independent courses: Preparation for Initial Company Operations (PICO) (formerly MCTO); Decision Making; and Strategy and Tactics for Initial Company Operations (STICO). STICO is designed to develop the management skills needed by Company Officers to accomplish assigned tactics at structure fires.
Who should attend?
Company Officer's or Senior Firefighters responsible for the management of a single fire company during fire ground operations.
Cost:
There is a low-cost registration fee of $75.00 that includes lodging for 1 night on Saturday, April 21 at Volk Field and all meals. If you request a room for Friday night (April 20) there will be an additional cost of $18.00 (total fee of $93.00). All lodging will be on the Volk Field Base in single rooms. The transportation is the responsibility of the student.
